For Halloween 2022 I decided I wanted to get back into a bit of costume making. For quite a few years now I hadn’t really had any costume. In 2019, I was fortunate enough to work/attend a HUGE Halloween party and have a Mage costume I wore for that. It was mostly just a shiny looking robe and hood. But since then, I’ve either reworn that or just worn a silly Halloween shirt with my kids.

I considered a number of different costumes including The Witcher and some more popular costumes, but fell back to my favorite Sith Lords of old. Specifically, Darth Revan was always one of my favorites. I only had about 10 days, and that included still working full time in between launch attempts for Artemis I. In taking a look at his outfit, it looked like at a minimum I’d need the following:

• Cape
• Hood/cowl
• Armor
• Mask

I bought a quick cape online for cheap that included a hood (canonically his hood is typically separate but this is forgivable I think), I found a nice pattern on Etsy for the foam armor, and I utilized a couple different online STLs from Thingiverse for the Mandalorian-style helmet that Revan wears.

So — I got to work.

Not too bad for such a short time. I’m thinking of continuing to work on it a bit to wear to Megacon next year. Wish I’d taken more photos during the crafting, but here it is.
